After many years of decorating several clients had asked us to decorate and plan their weddings. We always had a passion for this kind of thing, so we said yes. After several weddings we started our journey looking for the perfect place for a wedding venue. Finally after seven years of looking we found the perfect location... an old country home sitting on six acres of much needed love just 16 miles from downtown Tuscaloosa. It took a lot of work, but it became the perfect Southern Venue. Tuscaloosa's finest only full service Wedding Venue where all you have to do is say "I Do".
It doesn't matter how small and intimate or if it is a formal affair for hundreds of guests, Southern House and Garden will make sure the day is perfect.
We specialize in making your day a memorable event! We can coordinate weddings, rehearsal dinners, and bridal showers/ brunches at our exclusive venue. We are a full service venue which includes exquisite and beautifully presented food, floral design, and linens. We also have many rental decorative items to make for a wonderful affair!

SHG did an amazing job with my wedding! I loved how they attended to every detail and tailored it to what we needed for our big day. The food was great and everyone enjoyed the venue! There are so many different spots for pictures and it is definitely a beautiful view. I couldn't have survived wedding planning or the wedding day itself if it weren't for Angie and Chelsea and the rest of the amazing staff!!! I highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants to keep wedding planning easy by using one vendor for everything. They truly are experts and know how to plan it all perfectly.
So glad I picked Southern House and Garden as my wedding venue! Everything was stunning!! It was a little more pricey than we hoped but it was worth it! You can pick from a variety of different packages and you can substitute for certain things if you would like. All of th staff is wonderful! I would not have changed anything :)
Southern House and Garden was a wonderful venue for us to have both our wedding and reception. Terri and Angie were a pleasure to work with during the planning stages and the staff were very professional and accommodating. Our day came together perfectly (even with all of the rain) and I would definitely recommend Southern House and Garden to any future newlyweds for their wedding venue!

They gave me everything i wanted when I tried to describe my dream wedding. I dont remember much because the day went by so fast, but I have beautiful pictures of the beautiful flower arrangements, cake and decorations they created for me! They were very helpful and understanding about things I wanted for my big day, even if they were a little... different (tehe)! We had a short 5 month engagement, so we were very lucky to get a Spring wedding date AND having the stress of plannning flowers, catering, cake, decorating, AND cleaning up after off of mine and my mom's shoulders was a HUGE relief and SO worth it.
Southern house and garden was wonderful. They made everything so easy and were incredibly helpful. I could get in touch with them very quickly. They made our wedding day stress free! Y'all are the best!
