Q: What is the pricing for a wedding and reception at Southern House and Garden?

Q: What services must be provided in-house?
A: SHG has the capability of making your wedding planning stress-free with a variety of full service packages that cover all the basics from venue, catering, cakes, rentals and more! Please schedule a tour of the property and consultation to go over packages that will fit your wedding needs!
Q: What is the payment schedule
A: Reservation fee is required to secure date and time; this fee is not refundable but it may be transferable to another available date one time. This fee will also be a partial payment towards your final balance. The final balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding. Changes and additional guests can be added no later than 14 business days prior to your wedding. A damage deposit is separate (usually $500) on all packages that include alcohol or your reception extends past 8:00 p.m. The damage deposit is refundable 14 business days after wedding if no damages occurred.
Q: What if it rains on my wedding day?
A: We have an indoor facility for your ceremony that seats 130 guests at no additional cost. Additional tenting is available upon request. The cost of additional tenting varies. Reception is indoor/outdoor facility and can be moved fully indoors with some restrictions.
Q: What is the guest capacity?
A: Depending on your ceremony location, up to 300+ guests can be accommodated.
Q. What Ceremony Locations options does the couple have?
A: We have 5 different locations,however, some do have seating limitations.
The Bella Chapel: Up to 250 guests
Gazebo: Up to 300 guests
House: Can seat up to 130 guests.
Barn: Up to 50 guests
Pasture: can seat up to 300+ guests
Q: What staffing is included for weddings:<
A: Each full-service package includes full set-up, clean-up, and during-event service by Southern House and Garden staff. A wedding director can be added on to your package to help your ceremony and reception flow smoother.
Q: Are tips required?
A: Tax and gratuity is already in the package price. Tips are not expected or required.
Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: Southern House and Garden should receive written notification of cancellation from client, or the client may be subject to payment of full facility fees. All fees are non-refundable, with the exception of the damage deposit. The reservation fee may be applied to a different date, subject to availability. There are no additional cancellation fees.
Q: Is there a minimum catering requirement?
A: Each package includes the minimum requirement and gives you a maximum guests included in the package. With some package exceptions, additional guests may be added at a price per guest. If beer and wine are being served, the menu is advised to be sufficient for comfortable and safe consumption.
Q: What if there is something on the package I do not feel like I need?
A: We have created a package for you that includes the staff that many bride's and families overlook. Anything can be added to a package, but nothing can be taken away. There is some range of movement in the floral décor. i.e. If your package includes one more bouquet than you needed, that bouquet can be made into an arrangement to decorate another location on the property.
Q: How late can we stay or how early can we arrive?
A: Each wedding and reception package includes at least a 3 ½ hour time block. That time block can be used between the hours of 10:00 am and 10:00 pm. You may purchase additional hours at a price per hour. The hours cannot extend your reception past 10:00 pm.
Q: What alcohol is allowed?
A: Southern House and Garden does not sell alcohol. If you would like alcohol at your event, it must be approved by SHG no later than 30 days prior to the event. If alcohol is found on the property not approved by SHG, then SHG reserves the right to hold the alcohol until the end of the event and the loss of your security deposit.
Q: Can we bring in kegs?
A: Our bar is not set up to hold and ice kegs.
Q: What is the food and drink served on?
A: Unless noted on your package, standard clear acrylic cups, plates, flatware is used for food and bar service. However, you may upgrade to a designer acrylic or china for an additional fee.
Q: Are there any surprise fees?
A: NO!! What you see that is listed in the package is what you get! Anything you add with us outside your package will be your only added costs with Southern House and Garden.

A: The owners work directly with the bride throughout the planning process. The owners also work directly to coordinate the in house staff and decorate your wedding themselves!
